What Are The Steps To Repair Acer Aspire 3000 Laptop?

  1. Layout a soft cloth on a table or on a hard and flat surface.
  2. Flip your laptop over so that its bottom is easily accessible.

  4. On the small panel at the right bottom of the hard disk cover, remove the two screws using the watchmaker screwdriver. Remove the panel now.
  5. On the right side of the hard disk remove the recessed screw.
  6. Using the hacksaw blades gently slide the hard disk to the right.
  7. Take out the hard disk, and then brush the disk and recess clean.
  8. Also, remove the two tiny screws on the small panel of the hard disk panel. Doing this RAM will be uncovered.
  9. Pull the two white clips gently and also lift the RAM card/s at an angle of 45 degrees.
  10. Remove the panel of the processor located beside the RAM housing.
  11. Slowly remove the tiny screws for fan housing.
  12. Clean the accumulated grime and vents using the brush.
  13. Flip the laptop on its base and unscrew all the screws behind it.
  14. Also, carefully unscrew the screws on the display bezel, lift out the display connectors with the lighting circuits.
  15. Take out the back cover of display and clean it.
  16. Now unscrew the screws of the keyboard, remove the optical drive screw, flip the open laptop over again and take out the optical drive.
  17. Disconnect the main bottom panel, lift the main chassis vertically up and clean using the brush.
  18. Clean rechargeable CMOS battery and also replace it if necessary.
  19. Unscrew the screws that are holding the optical drive flange. Remove the flange and also the back plate.
  20. Brush to remove any dust left.
  21. Flip the drive over and clean the ribbon connectors, drive-door-opening, motor-spindle softly.
  22. Insert the RAM card back.
